Extended Roof Warranty
A no-worry repair warranty for your roof: labor and materials, for 5, 10 or 15 years
Extended warranty at a glance
Leaks, wear and aging
We repair leaks and damage from normal wear and tear and the natural aging of your roof.
Labor and materials
Every covered repair includes both labor and materials. We match your existing materials as closely as we can.
5, 10 or 15 years
Shingle roofs can be covered for 5, 10 or 15 years. Metal, flat, slate and shake roofs qualify for the 5-year term.
One payment, no bills
The warranty is paid once, in full, when you sign. No yearly payments for the rest of the term.
Credited toward a new roof
If you replace the roof with us during the warranty, what you paid for the warranty is credited toward the new roof.
Transfers with the house
Sell within 3 years and the new owner gets the same warranty on the same roof.
What Is the Extended Warranty?
Our Extended Labor & Material Warranty is a no-worry repair warranty for the roof on your home. When your roof leaks or wears out in a spot during the term, you call us and we fix it, labor and materials included. It covers the routine wear and natural aging that every roof goes through, the kind of repair homeowners insurance usually does not pay for. It is separate from the 5-year standard workmanship warranty that comes with a Carolina Trophy Roofs installation.
How It Works
1. We inspect and score the roof
Our roof examiner scores seven things: design and pitch, age, how hard repairs are to do, craftsmanship, roof type, condition, and size. That score sets your price.
2. You choose the term
Pick 5, 10 or 15 years (metal, flat, slate and shake roofs: 5 years). You pay once, in full, when you sign. There are no yearly payments.
3. Call us when it needs a repair
Report a leak or damage as soon as you see it. We come out and make the repair, labor and materials included. The warranty covers up to five repair claims during its term.
Why Homeowners Get One
Repairs you'd otherwise pay for
Wear and aging are not insurance claims, so those repairs usually come out of your pocket. With the warranty, the labor and materials for covered repairs are already paid for.
One payment, then done
You pay once, when you sign. No monthly or yearly bills for the rest of the term.
It helps when you sell
You can transfer the warranty to the next owner of the house within 3 years. They get the same exact warranty on the same roof. After 3 years it stays with you and can't be transferred.
Your money isn't lost if you re-roof
If you decide on a new roof during the warranty and we install it, what you paid for the warranty is credited toward the new roof.
If You Get a New Roof Later
- • Want a replacement during the warranty? We'll give you a fair market quote, priced with industry-standard tools such as Xactimate. If you choose us for the new roof, the amount you paid for the warranty is credited toward it.
- • If the whole roof is failing: when more than 25% of the roof fails, or the roof needs more than five claims in the term, the warranty ends and the roof needs replacing. If we do that replacement at our fair market price, your warranty payment is still credited toward the new roof.
- • Storm damage is different: damage from a severe storm, typically more than 25% of the roof, belongs with your homeowners insurance claim, not the warranty. See our free insurance claim guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which roofs qualify, and for how long?
Shingle roofs can be covered for 5, 10 or 15 years; 15 years is the longest term. Metal, flat, slate and shake roofs qualify for the 5-year term. Every roof is inspected and scored first. A roof in poor shape may not be a warranty candidate; for that roof, a replacement is usually the better choice.
How is the price set?
By the inspection score and the size of your roof, and the term you choose. It is paid in full at signing. There are no payment plans or discounts.
Can I transfer the warranty if I sell my home?
Yes, within 3 years. The next owner of the house gets the same exact warranty on the same roof. After 3 years the warranty can't be transferred.
What if I want a new roof during the warranty?
We'll give you a fair market quote. If you choose us for the replacement, what you paid for the warranty is credited toward the new roof.
What if I cancel early?
If no warranty claims have been made, we refund $100 for each prepaid year of coverage left. For example, 7 years left means a $700 refund. Years already passed are not refunded, and a transferred warranty is non-refundable.
Does this replace my homeowners insurance?
No. This is a repair warranty, not an insurance policy, and it doesn't cover damage a leak causes inside your home. Keep a Replacement Cost Value (RCV) policy on your home, roof and belongings, and if a leak damages the inside, talk to your insurance agent.
