Commercial Roofing in Rocky Mount, NC

Our main office is in Rocky Mount, at 136 S. Business Ct, so commercial roofs here are close to home: flat and low-slope roofs on stores, offices and warehouses, metal roofs on shops and industrial buildings, and church roofs and steeples.

Most commercial roofs we work on sit over a business that stays open while we are up there. How that will work is agreed with you before the first pallet of material arrives.

An old gravel flat roof, re-covered in metal

Rows of steel framing went in on short supports across the old gravel-surfaced flat roof, and new metal panels were fastened across the framing (see metal roofing in Rocky Mount for the finished panels). It is one way to deal with a flat roof that has reached the end; a new membrane or a restoration coating are the others, and which one fits depends on the building.

    A church steeple in Nashville

First inspected in April 2026, with the crew back on the steeple in July and August. It sits on a brick tower over the church entrance; inside, it is a steel frame clad in metal panels, sealed along the panel joints. More in church steeple repair.

Low-slope roof systems we install and repair

    TPO

A white single-ply membrane with heat-welded seams; the most common new flat roof on commercial buildings in this region.

    EPDM

Synthetic rubber, fully adhered or ballasted under stone. On most occupied buildings we recommend fully adhered, because of the wind we get.

    Modified bitumen

Asphalt built up in plies under a granulated cap sheet. It takes the foot traffic from HVAC techs and other trades.

    Metal

Standing seam and screw-down panels, metal over old flat roofs like the one above, and repairs to aging screw-down roofs.

    Coatings

If the roof is sound and the insulation under it is dry, a silicone or acrylic coating can restore it without a tear-off.

    Roof coating

    Working over an open business

    • Phased sections. No more roof is opened than can be dried in the same day.
    • Staging kept clear. Dumpsters and material stay off customer parking and away from entrances, and drop zones are cordoned.
    • Noise and odors scheduled. Loud or odor-producing work is timed around your hours, with early starts where they help.
    • A clean site every evening. Treated as part of the job, not a courtesy.

    For property managers and owners

Every inspection and project produces a written record with photographs (condition found, work done, what to watch) that you can forward to an owner, a board or an insurer. We also run semi-annual maintenance inspections: drains cleared, sealants touched up, small punctures patched while they are still small, and a dated photo report each visit.

If water is coming in over your stock or equipment, call (252) 302-2003 at any hour. We find the entry point, seal or tarp it, photograph it for your records and your insurer, and talk about the permanent fix in daylight.

Commercial roofing questions from Rocky Mount

Can you replace our roof while the business stays open?
Yes, that is the normal case. The roof is done in sections so no more is open than can be dried in the same day, loud work is scheduled around your hours, and staging stays clear of your entrances and customer parking.
Does our flat roof have to come off?
Not always. If the roof is sound and the insulation under the membrane is dry, a restoration coating can renew it without a tear-off. If it is wet or failing, it comes off. An inspection of what is under the surface settles it.
Do you work on church roofs and steeples?
Yes. The Nashville steeple on this page is one of ours, and we handle church roofs as well as steeples.
Do you offer maintenance programs for commercial roofs?
Yes: semi-annual inspections with drains cleared, sealants touched up, small punctures patched and a dated photo report each visit.
Who do we call when the roof leaks after hours?
    (252) 302-2003, at any hour. We find the leak, seal or tarp it, and photograph it for your records and your insurer.
